Spigelia is one of the flowers that I've been lucky enough to discover growing naturally on my property. It is easy to move around. Spigelia responds to worked soil and organic ammendments by increasing in size and can be divided in 3 or 4 years. Spigelia can also produce viable seed.
Spigellia is another of those valuable plants for the shade garden.
Companion plants for Spigellia might include Wild Ginger, Blood Root, & Epimediums to name a few.
